Here at Camlas Petcare Vets, our practice has been accredited as an ISFM Silver Cat Friendly Clinic.
This accreditation is an internationally recognised award, and means we have met criteria to help minimise stress in your cat at our clinic. We were previously a bronze member practice but continued improvements and dedication by the team have allowed us to achieve the higher level award. We are currently the only practice in Mid-Wales with this prestigious award.
As an ISFM Silver Cat Friendly Clinic, this means we have:
- Separate cat and dog waiting area
- Feline friendly hospitalisation cages
- Specialist cat equipment.
Most importantly, all our staff are trained in approaching and handling cats sensitively and respectfully, and stay up to date with their knowledge of feline medicine. Our receptionist Mal has completed and passed a training course to become a feline friendly receptionist. Registered Veterinary Nurse, Sarah Hayward completed the certificate of Feline Nursing in 2018 gaining the joint highest mark
Our Cat Advocate, Sarah, says: “This is a great achievement for all of us at Camlas Petcare Vets and reflects our understanding of the unique nature of cats and our aim to make a visit to our practice as stress-free as possible for both cat and owner.
This starts before the owner and cat arrive with advice on transporting their cat, on arrival there is a designated cat waiting area and throughout the rest of the practice staff are dedicated to gentle handling, appropriate hospitalisation facilities, equipment and cat friendly treatment.”

We look forward to welcoming you and your feline friends into the practice.
